Space is important in many areas of our life, and I think the value of it is underestimated these days. Space in our head, in our agenda, in our free time… Everything is filled up, and that’s not serving us and neither our businesses.
I listened to a podcast recently where it was all about creating space and why that is so important to be able to create, grow and achieve what you want. This subject relates a lot with me and I talk about it very often with my clients as well.
What does it really mean to create space and why is it so important? Well, it creates magic. I experience this myself, and I see it with my clients.
We are always busy, have full schedules and endless to-do lists. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves and think that we should always be doing useful things. And it has actually become normal for us to be busy. If someone asks you: “How are you? Do you have a busy week?”, it’s completely normal that the answer is ‘yes’.
But if the answer would be ‘no’, people start looking weird and think there’s something wrong with you or your business.
Well, that’s interesting… Right?!
How amazing would it be if you don’t have to be busy all the time to be successful, and to live life to the fullest?
We need space. We need space to create, to get inspired and to grow. Because when there is space, there is space for magic. And to create space, it’s not only about having an empty calendar. It’s also about space in our head. Because when our heads are full, there is no space for anything. Not for new ideas, not for creativity and not for clarity.
Without space, you’re stuck or getting stuck very soon.
Recently before my vacation my head was full and I was putting a lot of pressure on myself. I was pushing, nothing worked out the way I wanted and I felt stuck in my own created circle.
I definitely needed space.
And I created it by writing everything down what came up in my mind and I talked about it with my husband.
When your head is full, you have to make sure that you drop all your ‘stuff’ somewhere else. Write, type, talk, paint, do whatever helps you to get everything out of your head.
What I also did – and this one is very important – was making an agreement with myself. The agreement that I was allowing myself to let everything go and just have fun. And I had to remind myself several times to this agreement, but after a few days I was completely full in the ‘let it go’.
As there was more space and as I started to let go, my creativity was all over the place! I had so many ideas and inspiration, it was insane and exciting! It was magic.
Giving myself space was exactly what I needed to move on and grow to my next level. And it has always been like this before.
In addition to all the ideas and great inspiration, I also created the space to allow myself to be in the moment, enjoy my vacation with my family and to have fun!
Can you use some magic? 😉 If yes, ask yourself:
- Where in my life do I need more space?
- Where in my business is space needed right now?
Is it in your agenda, in your head, in your work, in your free time, in relationships…?
Take the time to create space and you create magic as a result.
Believe me. You want this.
